Firefighter's Safety and Driving Information
Under 69A-62.021(3)(d) Each Basic Life Support (BLS) and each Advanced
Life Support (ALS) provider, as described in Rules 64E-2.002 and 64E-2.003,
respectively, shall document that each driver has completed at least a16-hour
course of instruction on driving an authorized emergency vehicle, as defined by
Section 316.003(1), F.S., which includes, at a minimum classroom and
behind-the-wheel training....
Listed below are three vendors approved by the Safety Program Manager to provide
this training and certification.

Also approved are the curriculum guides from "The National Safety Council"
(CEVOII) and the curriculum guide for VFIS, provided the instructors are
