FIRE & LIFE SAFETY EDUCATOR CERTIFICATION
To receive the Fire and Lifesafety Educator Certificate of Competency, the applicant must successfully complete 64 hours of class, and pass a state written examination. Documentation of training is to be submitted with the required Application for Fire and Lifesafety Educator Certification Examination (DFS-K4-1456), Personal Inquiry Waiver (DFS-K4-1020), along with all other supporting documents and processing fee, at least 10 business days prior to the scheduled test date.

One 40-hour courses and one 24-hour course are required for certification. A description of each course can be found by clicking the course title below. The courses are offered at the Florida State Fire College, Community and Junior Colleges through out the state, and some of the Certified Training Centers.
