The Department of Financial Services serves as the Receiver of any insurer placed into receivership in Florida. The Division of Rehabilitation and Liquidation plans, coordinates and directs the receivership processes on behalf of the Department.

Guarantee Insurance Company ("GIC") was a workers’ compensation insurance company that went into liquidation in Florida on November 27, 2017. Information about the company’s liquidation can be found on the GIC pages on this site. Proof of Claim Mailing: The Department mailed 16,820 Proof of Claim forms on February 22, 2018 to policyholders, injured workers, employees, general creditors, premium finance companies and various government agencies. A second mailing will occur in March. The claim filing deadline is May 29, 2018. More information can be found here: GIC pages.
